Zoysia Grass Fertilizer

If you are just planting your zoysia grass plugs and want to give them a nudge in growing, make sure that you use only zoysia grass fertilizer and NOT ordinary grass fertilizer.

Ordinary fertilizer can burn or cause serious damage to your zoysia grass.

As mentioned, do NOT use ordinary grass fertilizer on your zoysia grass or it will burn. You must use a water soluble fertilizer that has been created for zoysia grass. Nutri-20 was designed specifically for for zoysia grasses.

During the planting and rooting period is an important time to fertilize with Nutri-20. Apply Nutri-20 immediately after planting and every two weeks during the growing season. You can also use Nutri-20 with your other plants, shrubs, fruit and vegetables.

Turf Tough | An Alernative Zoysia Grass Fertilizer

After testing in many states with hundreds of lawn owners, it is found that the Amazoy zoysia grass can virtually grow in any soil. If you want to ensure that the the roots get extra nutrients, then the Turf Tough product is recommended. 

It makes sense that the better nourishment that the new zoysia grass plugs have when starting out, the faster they will grow.

Applying Your Zoysia Grass Fertilizer

You want to nourish your lawn, but you do not want to over water your zoysia grass or apply too much fertilizer.

If you are are using the Gilmor Hand Held Sprayer:

* Put 1 cup of Nutri-20 fertilizer in the sprayer
* Fill to top of sprayer with water
* Shake gently to mix
* Attach to the hose, turn water on and begin spraying
* Covers 350 square feet of lawn
* When sprayer is empty, fertilizing is complete If using the Ortho Dial Sprayer:
* Set dial to 8 ounces
* Put 1 cup of Nutri-20 fertilizer in the sprayer
* Fill to top of sprayer with water
* Shake gently to mix
* Attach to the hose, turn water on and begin spraying
* Covers 350 square feet of lawn
* When sprayer is empty, fertilizing is complete If using a Watering Can:
* Use 2 teaspoons Nutri-20 fertilizer per gallon of water
